The new Illamasqua range, After Math was actually launched last month but I didn’t get a chance to try out the new products until more recently which sucks. But of course, when I did get the chance to use them I was so NOT disappointed, I always LOVE new Illamasqua collections but I honestly think this one could easily be my favourite!
I always love when Illamasqua release new products, they just get better each time and you just know they’re always amazing! This time is no different, the new Illamasqua May Queen collection is jut STUNNING!
So, I’m back again with some more of the amazing Antimatter lipsticks that I am completely obsessed with! Honestly, these have overtaken my MAC obsession right now which is a major achievement.
I’m sure we can all agree that January seems to have dragged on for far too long, it honestly feels like Christmas was a good few months ago when in reality it’s just been a measly 5 weeks! Crazy right?
If you haven’t already heard, Greenery 15-0343 is the Pantone colour of the year! Now, I normally cannot stand green in any way shape or form but when this was labelled the colour of 2017 I thought I’d give it a shot!
Illamasqua were so kind as to send me a few green shaded products to work with and after a lot of denial I finally HAD to admit to myself that I did actually enjoy working with greens.
The single eyeshadow in the shade Fledging is literally one of the most pigmented eyeshadows I’ve used, the swatch shown is just one swipe, it’s such a creamy, buttery formula and it blends out like a dream. I honestly need to get my hands on more of these shadows. The packaging is the iconic Illamasqua curved edge square shape with a little window so you can see the shade straight off.
The Sketch Stick in Trip reminds me of the NYX jumbo pencils but the packaging is a little fatter and longer. It has a twist up base so no sharpening required. The lid is a ton of effort to push on and remove so if you need a touch up in the day then know that it will not come off anytime soon! Trip is more of a lighter, yellow toned green but works perfectly for any eye colour, there are just endless possibilities of looks to create. I really like the Sketch stick for filling in my waterline or an all over lid shade in a cut crease or smokey eye look.
I honestly could not rate these products any higher, I have no issues with using them in the slightest, I do plan on buying every single eyeshadow shade available after trying this one out! The singe shadows are £16.50 each (but totally worth it!) and the sketch sticks are £15 reduced to £4.50 at Illamasqua.com
Huge thank you to Illamasqua here for helping me step outside my comfort zone and play around with some colour!
My love for Illamasqua has grown considerably in such a short amount of time and I literally cannot get enough of their products. Of course I was totally overwhelmed when the new Antimatter lipsticks arrived at my door, I just couldn’t get over the colours!
I didn’t realise that I’d never tried Illamasqua until I went to start this post, which is wierd because I’ve always loved Illamasqua products. I’ve bought their products for other people and I did own a few lipsticks at some point but I ended up selling them because they were too pretty to use (I’m a fool, I know!)
